After about 18 hours of travelling, we have arrived! The flight was a fun 10 hours, followed by a scenic tour around Los Angeles Airport while the plane waited to get on stand. And then we got very familiar with the immigration hall, as we stood in line almost an hour to get through immigration - because where is the logic in having more than two immigration officers dealing with the 500 people long non-US citizens line, while having 5 people dealing with the 70 people US citizens line?
The hotel is totally groovy and has just about the most comfortable beds in the world.
Donne nearly crashed the rental car yesterday, but more on that later. Don't worry, it probably would have only been a minor scrape!

so Donne was the near miss in the rental car before or after you got it out of the car park?
Let's give her a little credit. It was about 10 minutes after we got out of the car park. Probably the first time we had to turn across the traffic off the main road. Fun times!
